We take data protection seriously. StudyRank only collects the data needed to run the app, sync your progress, enable social features, and technically improve the app.
Everything you track — study sessions, minutes, XP, levels, streaks, achievements and settings — is stored on your device.
If you never sign in, this data stays on your device only and is never sent to us. Deleting the app removes all locally stored data.
When you sign in with Apple, we back your study data up to the cloud so it syncs across your devices and lets you play with friends.
Sign-in is handled by Apple. We use Apple's private email relay and never receive your real Apple ID email unless you choose to share it. Authentication and storage run on Google Firebase (Firebase Authentication & Cloud Firestore).

You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete account, which permanently removes your data from the cloud.

StudyRank is social. When you add friends, join a group or start a battle, the people involved can see your display name, avatar color, @handle and study stats (such as your weekly minutes, level and streak).
Only the stats needed to power leaderboards and challenges are shared — never your personal notes or account details.
If you enable notifications, we send reminders and friend-activity alerts. Push notifications are delivered through the Apple Push Notification service and only contain what's needed to show the alert.
You can turn notifications off at any time in the app or in iOS Settings.
